Ellen Carroll, Owner/Instructor
I began practicing hot yoga in January of 2001. From my very first hot
yoga class I was practicing daily, loving the changes the yoga was making
to my body, but even more so to my mind! I loved that 90 minutes of uninterrupted,
focused time. I received my Bikram
Yoga Teaching Certification in 2001. In 2004 I attended Jimmy Barkan’s
level II teacher training for certification to teach Hot Vinyasa Yoga. In
2006 I attended Jimmy
Barkan’s level III Advanced Teacher training. In addition I have
attended workshops with Patricia
Walden, Doug Swenson,
and Baron Baptiste.
Recently I have been studying with David Magone and his Pranavayu
Yoga style. David has recently been named one of the top 25 yoga teachers
in the country. I am a registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga
Alliance at the RYT200 and E-RYT500 levels with over 5,000 teaching
hours. My classes incorporate a mix of postures and knowledge from my various
teachers as well as my own practice. I believe yoga is for every body and
I assist my students in finding their own practice and letting the inner
joy and power within them grow. It’s an honor and a thrill to share
this yoga with others and to see them learn and grow in their yoga practice
and in their lives..

Couris
Michelle
practicing yoga in the mid 90’s to help alleviate life long problems
with her back. Through practice she not only found a strong, tall spine,
but also peace through meditation, power through breath work, and so much
more.
With teaching, she hopes to offer her students the opportunity to discover the joy of yoga for themselves. She encourages all students to make their practice personal, and to practice with compassion, fluidity, and grace, while bringing a sense of joy and lightness to the mat.
Michelle
is certified in Kripalu yoga and teaches with influences in Kripalu, Vinyasa
flow and Hot Yoga.
While residing on the north shore, Michelle loves to travel, study, and
have fun with her two Yorkies.
Kelly
Machaud
After several years in the corporate world, Kelly found she wanted a more
active, engaging and peaceful career path, and decided to make her passion
for yoga a profession. Kelly has completed Ana Forrest’s Foundational
Teacher Training, known for addressing today’s stresses and challenges
using intense pose sequences, compassionately taught, to develop skills
in awakening each of the senses.
Kelly strives to provide a space where students can safely explore and challenge their bodies and unplug from the outside world. She stresses linking breath with movement and listening to what the body needs. Music, physical adjustments and compassion are all an integral part of her classes. Vinyasa, Forrest and Power yoga styles, as well as her students influence her.
Erin Watters
I began practicing yoga on a whim in May 2005. Two co-workers invited me
to practice with them at lunch, and I thought it might be fun. What began
as a whim would develop into a passion. After taking my first hot yoga class
in a studio, I knew I had found something very special. Along with providing
a great workout, yoga taught me that the next breath is always there –
a valuable lesson both on and off my mat. I knew that I wanted to share
the joy I found in yoga with others. I trained in the Pranavayu style of
yoga with its creator, David Magone, along with my mentor, Mary Ellen Carroll.
I earned my 200 hour teacher certification in June 2011.
Kerri
Johnson
In 2005, Kerri was introduced to Yoga by a friend who thought it could help
her through a difficult period in her life. After a few down dogs and Vinyasa’s,
Kerri was hooked! Yoga created a significant change in Kerri’s reaction
to stress and the way she looked at life in general. Due to the huge impact
that yoga had on Kerri’s life, she wanted to share this knowledge
and help others. Kerri recently completed the 200 hour Teacher Training
with David Magone and Mary Ellen Carroll. Kerri hopes that many people will
come to love and benefit from yoga as much as she does!

When I went to my first yoga class in 2005 I never knew what an
impact it was going to make on my life. Soon after starting, I found Mary
Ellen's studio and I became hooked on both the practice of yoga and the
value of a heated class. I've found yoga to be the perfect complement to
other sports like running, rowing and volleyball - being both challenging
but also allowing the muscles to stretch and release. Also it has helped
me begin to understand how the quality of your breath and the linking of
breath to movement can focus and calm the mind and enhance any athletic
endeavor. And when something is bothering me, the mat has been a haven and
a sanctuary I have been able to count on. I became a 200hr certified yoga
instructor in May 2011.

Yoga has been a gateway to accessing joy in my life, and my hope
in teaching is to share that joy with others. I came to yoga looking for
stress relief and found on the mat a deep sense of peace and purpose.
I firmly believe that yoga is for everyone. Whether you can put your foot
behind your head or barely touch your toes, yoga has so much to offer
— physically, emotionally, mentally.
I encourage students to smile, laugh, and celebrate their bodies and lives through their yoga practice. Classes offer creative, challenging flows, safe alignment cues, and light-hearted encouragement to be exactly as you are.
I'm endlessly grateful to my teacher David Vendetti, with whom I completed my 200 hour teacher training in June of 2008, as well as to the other teachers and yogis from whom I have learned so much. I am currently working toward my 500 hour certification, which will be complete in May of 2010.

My path in yoga began quietly in the late ’60’s with
readings of Paramahansa Yogananda, Swami Vivekananada, and Yogi Vithaldis.
But this was just foreshodowing, as I did not continue with an asana practice.
Many years later, I began a practice in martial arts and meditation. From there, I found a natural progression and connection to Hatha yoga (asana practice) at Yoga Moves.
As the spark grew brighter, I took classes in Yin Yoga and found a similarity to the natural way I practiced at home. Studying the roots of the Yin movement, I found the associations with martial arts, Taoisam, Buddhism, eastern thought, medicine, and meditation very much in line with the direction towards which I had been guided.
“Yoga is a practice” and as a musician I am appreciative o fthe fact that it is the practice itself that brings joy, without even consideration for future benefits. I try to keep my beginners mind, and hope to share this scintilla with you.
Sheri
Breen
Sheri began her yogini journey in 1999 after taking a yoga class
at college. Yoga became an avenue to reconnect to the physical body in
an empowering and compassionate way after spending many years dancing
as a child and teenager. She also discovered how yoga can be a powerful
way to ground and center herself on and off the mat. Her curiosity has
led her to studio many forms of yoga, including Iyengar, Hatha and Vinyasa
based practices. Sheri has been influenced by Anusara, Ashtanga, Forrest,
Restorative and Yin methods. Her passion for yoga led her to complete
her 200 hour yoga teacher certification with Jen Ryan at The Yoga Loft
in Wilmington, MA. Her classes are breath centered and encourage students
to make the practice their own.
Sheri has completed certifications in Core Vinyasa and as a Trauma Sensitive Yoga Teacher. She is current pursuing her 500 hour RYT certification as a student in Shiva Rea’s 300 hour Prana Flow yoga teacher training. In addition, Sheri is an avid meditation practitioner, Reiki Level II certified and has worked in the healthcare field for many years. It’s all about the journey, not the destination.
