YOga Basics for the New Yogi

This six week yoga beginner class series offers those new to yoga a solid foundation for their practice,
even if you have never stepped foot on a yoga mat. If you have practiced yoga in the past, or are currently practicing and want to review the basics, please join us. Since yoga is practiced on a mat with bare feet, this gives you a reason to kick off your sandals and air out your toes.
Each class will cover breathing exercises (pranayama), meditation, yoga poses (asana), yogic philosophy and teacher assists for alignment; every session will build upon the previous class. Yoga allows us the opportunity to restore our balance, strength, flexibility and agility cultivating these qualities internally and externally as we learn and practice yoga.
Please bring a yoga mat, a water bottle, and your magnificent self; wear comfy clothes for movement
